According to the recent official statements from AMD representatives , this last fail to release dual core processor athlon 64 FX-76 with 3.2 GHz frequency and had to create impression about the desire of company to pass on more progressive architecture K8L (K10).

According to the marketing director ( for opteron processors ) - Patrick Patla . First of all, in the beginning of May , AMD plans to begin the mass deliveries of processors opteron 2222 SE (3.0 GHz) and Opteron 8222 SE (3.0 GHz). These dual cores processors in their characteristics are close to desktop processor athlon 64 X2 6000+ or special processor athlon 64 FX-74.
