Rambus company , which chose the principle of existence as patent troll, fell on hard times.  In 2011, the non-volatile memory technology developer failed to bring to justice Micron and Hynix,  the company has not received nearly $ 4 billion of royalty.  Rambus also suffered a setback in litigation with other manufacturers of integrated circuits. In order to optimize costs Rambus dismiss 15% of staff (75 people).  Reduction will affect employees engaged in administrative activities.  The remaining employees will be focused on work in three areas: memory and interfaces, displays and lighting, cryptographic technology.  By the way,  Rambus acquired for $ 342.5 million the company Cryptography Research.
