Rambus company has the definition of patent troll . The District Court of Delaware found 12 patents invalid for collection of license fees for memory interfaces. According to the judge, Rambus can't prove its viability license because the relevant documents were destroyed.
Court received evidence of intentional destruction of documents that might confirm the company's right . Rambus staff methodically destroyed archives. They destroyed 400 boxes of documents, 1,200 tapes with files and cleaned up over 60 units of patent documents. Rambus had destroyed everything that could be evidence in favor of it as the original developer.
The market has already reacted to the court's decision to depreciate Rambus shares and increase the value of Micron securities .
