Nearly five years have passed since the introduction of the first netbooks on the market, and their existence is in question due to competition from full-size notebooks and inexpensive tablets.
Intel is going to continue to supply components for the platform Cedar Trail M even after minimizing traditional netbooks partners. The processors Atom N2600 can be used in notebooks Classmate PC, which Intel expects to market equipment for educational institutions. Platform components will be available by the end of the first quarter 2014, and Microsoft will provide the computers with Windows 7 Starter.
Associate believe that Intel and Microsoft are trying to resist the expansion of customer base Chromebook concept, which involves production of low-cost compact notebooks with operating system Google Chrome OS.
