Exhibition Computex, held annually in early June in Taipei. Just recently, we learned about the release of the controller 88SS1074.
The controller has a slightly lower sequence number than its predecessor: its base scope - it SSDs on the cheaper TLC (triple-level cell) NAND. More specifically - TLC NAND, made at rates 15-nm process.
The novelty is clearly timed to coincide with the production of TLC Toshiba, mass production which is due to start within the next few couple of weeks . However, the controller will support and habitual MLC and SLC NAND.
Press Release pretty stingy with specifications that traditionally for development submitted in anticipation of Computex:
- SATA3 6Gb / s;
- CMOS process technology of 28 nm;
- Support TLC/MLC/SLC/3D NAND-memory interfaces Toggle 2/ONFI 3 made by 15-19 nm process technology class of the second generation;
- Support power saving mode DEVSLP (Device Sleep);
- support data encryption at the hardware level with AES 256 bit;
- new error correction algorithm Marvell NANDEdge LDPC.
Currently 88SS1074 already transferred to the production, as well as made available to interested developers for review. Related Products :
