According to VR-Zone, CMOS-sensor with Exmor RS IMX230 sensor size 1 / 2.4-inch has a resolution of 21 MP, support HDR High Dynamic Range and allows you to record video with a resolution of 4K. Its deliveries will begin in April 2015 at a price of 2,100 yen (about $ 18 at current exchange rates).
Presumably, the first smartphone with a new CMOS-sensor will become the new Sony Xperia Z4.
