The current head of mobile business South Korean company Samsung Jay Kay Shin is likely to lose his job. The reason for that - reducing the profit drop in shares of Samsung, as well as lower sales of the current Samsung Galaxy S5.
According to PhoneArena, the share of Samsung in the global smartphone market is rapidly decreasing, and its profit for the third quarter fell by 60% compared to the same period of 2013. Moreover, Samsung sold 40% fewer smartphones Galaxy S5, than planned . Within three months, starting in April 2014, the company sold 12 million Galaxy S5. For comparison, in 2013 over the same period the previous flagship Galaxy S4 also went on the 16 millionth edition.
In this regard, Jay Kay Shin may soon step down as director of the mobile unit Samsung, but at the same time leave the position of co-executive director of Samsung. It may take place Bee Kay Yong , who now runs a division of Samsung, responsible for the production of television and consumer electronics.
