On CES 2015 Acer company has introduced a new laptop model on the cloud platform Chrome OS. Chromebook 15, according to Engadget, is a relatively inexpensive Chromebooks with 15.6-inch screen.
Chromebook 15 goes on sale for as low as $ 250. For the money the buyer will have at its disposal Chromebooks based on processors Intel Core i3 fifth generation, Intel Celeron or Nvidia Tegra K1 with 2 or 4 GB of RAM. Screen resolution depending on the version will be either 1920 x 1080 or 1366 x 768 pixels. Also available are a webcam, a slot for SD-cards, ports USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI and SSD capacity of 16 or 32 GB. Chromebooks, according to Acer, have a long battery life.
The new laptop weighs 1.81 kg, and therefore is not exactly designed for those who are already accustomed to ultra-portable notebooks.
Together with Acer Chromebook 15 also announced a new version of the Chromebook 13 with touch screen for $ 330. It goes on sale later this month.
It was also announced the release of new gaming notebook Aspire V 17 Nitro with integrated Intel RealSense 3D camera with an infrared projector, which allow to control using gestures. It is equipped with quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with a clock speed of 2.5 GHz and graphics GeForce GTX 860M. Storage allocated to the built-in SSD 128 or 256 GB and hard drive 1 TB. 17-inch screen, depending on the configuration has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or 2560 x 1440 pixels, while in the first case, the battery life is 10 hours without recharging, and the second - a little less.
