At the exhibition MWC 2015 Rambus company showed its new development - lensless imaging sensors.  Perhaps this is one of the first developments of the company (purchased together with the developer), which was published as a fully finished branded products rather than as a signal interface or the physical layer to implement the memory interface.  Lensless sensors promise to be the base for the creation of systems for gesture recognition and user objects in the environment.  Sensors Rambus promise to be registered in smartphones and in household appliances, such as robotic vacuum cleaners. This is sufficient to determine the shape of obstacles and to recognize other objects, such as people in a given area.  Built-in smart sensors can detect gestures Rambus user without having to touch the screen and leave it on the greasy fingerprints.  Management will be really in sign with the ability to recognize even small perturbations fingertips. In the finished product lensless imaging sensors appear in a period of one and a half to two years.  An important design feature is that the circuit is embedded in the image processing controller that gives a high reaction rate to change the image.  The reaction rate is so good that the sensors can be used in vehicles autopilot or in the dashboard to control the car.  Such a combination of features and low cost will never achieve with conventional image sensors with traditional single-axis lenses.
