Last week, Blizzard StarCraft II updated to version 3.0. List of amendments patch, astounding, and it seemed like everything wonderful. Until a few days passed, and the players began disturbing reports that the game's performance seriously damaged, and that StarCraft II has lost one of its advantages - low demands to the hardware.
The performance drop is very evident, in team games when the screen can present hundreds of units, the frame rate drops to unplayable values. And there is no visual differences from the previous version.
What is curious is that Blizzard, apparently, knew that the new patch will increase the system requirements. Players report that when using low-power graphics cards StarCraft II is now impossible to set the maximum or, in particularly severe cases, high graphics settings: they simply blocked. Something similar happened in the first Crysis, when the higher quality settings were blocked on DX9-systems. Related Products :
