Mobile payments are becoming more popular, and the South Korean company LG has decided to keep up with Samsung and Google, having their own payment services.
Before launching its own mobile payment platform LG has been in talks with major banks and companies issuing credit cards in South Korea.
By the way, mobile payment services Samsung Pay, submitted along with the flagship Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, a few months ago was launched in the United States and South Korea. Now, the South Korean giant is preparing to expand the geography of its work.
According to the online edition SamMobile, Samsung plans to launch Samsung Pay in China, Spain and the UK in the first quarter of 2016. The system competes with Apple Pay, Android Pay and CurrenC for supremacy in the mobile payments market.
Samsung Pay uses MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission), allowing owners of Samsung smartphones to pay for purchases with a payment system through the usual payment terminals for plastic bank cards with magnetic tape. Specially for this technology Samsung bought LoopPay for $ 250 million.
