SamMobile reported today, citing a report source from South Korea in the Korean company Samsung may begin deliveries of OLED-displays for the iPhone three years later, in 2018. Until then, Apple still uses LCD-displays, which is less than the OLED. Cooperation with Apple will increase the profitability of Samsung display unit .
Samsung has already signed contracts for the supply of OLED-displays with some Chinese OEM-manufacturers, such as Huawei. Also now it is in talks to supply OLED-displays for the iPhone with Apple.
Add that Samsung, in spite of the competition in the mobile market, the first year is working with Apple. Thus, the Korean giant is already supplying LCD-display for some models of iPad and has received an order for the production of OLED-displays for smartwatch Apple second generation.
