Developers of the Mozilla Firefox browser 45 reported that the project code base integrated partial implementation of API WebExtensions.  This will standardize the technology and use Firefox add-on browser Chrome. So far, the 45 will be only the alpha version of the above-mentioned API, in Firefox 47, it will receive the status of beta, and release will be in Firefox 48. Support markup language XUL, which is used to create a "native" browser extension until will coexist with WebExtensions, but how much - is unclear. Importantly, WebExtensions supports multi-process mode that will improve the security and stability of the browser as it is implemented in Chrome and Opera.
