Our colleagues from the site Anandtech on the resource of the system integrator - the company Exxact Corp - found a dual-processor board from Tyan for processors with a LGA 3677. This socket is interesting because with its use will be issued new server processors Intel Xeon class E5 (now they come with a connector LGA2011-3, as well as the top desktop Intel processors).
It is also expected that the codename of such processors will be changed from -EP to -SP, in particular, the processors are supposedly preparing Skylake-SP processors with TDP up to 205 W. Also, the LGA 3647 connector will allow the installation of Intel Xeon Phi accelerators.
The image of the two boards Tyan S7100xx2NR has a low resolution and therefore little information. At the same time, there were specifications of motherboards, the data of which are summarized in one table. Of these, for example, it became known about the Intel C621 chipset, information about which is not yet available.
Each processor supports six memory channels per one DIMM per channel. The total amount of supported memory is 768 GB (slats of 64 GB). It is assumed that, depending on the Skylake-SP model, it will be possible to configure up to three memory modules per channel.
Judging by the absence of a PCI Express bridge on the board and the presence of four PCIe x 3.0 x16 slots and three PCIe 3.0 x8 slots, Skylake-SP processors will carry at least 32 PCI Express lines or even offer 64 PCI Express lines each, but This we will find out later - closer to the announcement of Skylake-SP models.
