AMD representatives recently promised to develop a processors family with TDP level not more than 15 W. In this case AMD is not assembled to transfer the geode LX processors to the new architecture, but it will supply the existing products until there is a demand. The TDP level of geode LX processors do not exceed 5 W, and athlon neo processors class against their background appear more voracious. However, AMD repeatedly noted that it's not interested in similar devices ; therefore, the balance of performance and neo processors energy consumption must correspond to the producers demands . Geode LX processors are used for the production student notebook XO (OLPC) first generation. The leaders of project now develop notebook second generation, but they do not want to connect themselves with only one processors producer . It is possible to assume that as alternate OF OLPC, they will select Intel or VIA production . Furthermore, OLPC desires to see XO-2 processor with a higher integration degree . Geode LX processors in the present performance cannot satisfy these requirements . | ||
