ASUS continue to release new video cards models with passive cooling system: after the 3D-accelerator HD 6770 DirectCU Silent, a passive cooling system got the video card EN GTS450 DirectCU. The cooling system of ASUS EN GTS450 DirectCU is based on two copper heat pipes and aluminum radiator. The video card power consumption does not exceed 75 watts. Reduction of energy consumption from 106 (in the reference design) to 75 W has few downside - ASUS cut GPU clock speed from 783 to 594 MHz, and GDDR5 memory frequency 902 MHz was replaced by DDR3 with the same amount, 1 GB, but with significantly less frequency - 800 MHz. The memory bus remained as before 128-bit, there are 32 texture units and 16 ROP, as well as 192 stream processors just like reference video card. The card is equipped with video outputs DVI, HDMI and D-Sub. ASUS is ready to begin the deliveries of EN GTS450 DirectCU, product cost about $ 126 without taxes. | ||
