Corsair company at Computex 2012 introduced a series of SSDs, Neutron GTX and Neutron, which are equipped with a rare (so far) in the consumer sector LM87800 controller design Link_A_Media Devices (LAMD). These controllers provide support for SATA-600 interface.
Neutron GTX series will include a storage capacity 120, 240 and 480 GB. They provide transmission speed random data up to 90 000 IO operations per second. Serial data blocks read at a rate of 555 Mbytes / sec and write at 500 MB / s. These products will be distributed with five-year warranty.
Conventional drives Neutron series will be offered in models with 120 and 240 GB. Reading Speed of arbitrary data blocks in this case remains at 90,000 IO per second and write speed drops to 85 000 IO operations per second. Reading serial data at speeds of 555 MB / s, write - 370 MB / s.
Neutron drives have a thickness of 7 mm and case form factor 2.5 ". They will come with an adapter for mounting a 3.5" bay chassis. Related Products :
