Foxconn company is interested in foreign assets.  Trying to buy 10%  in Sharp - this is just the start, Foxconn already got a large stake in Sharp factory in Sakai to produce LCD , the company recently gained control of the American manufacturer of cameras . Foxconn Electronics plans to open in Japan  its own research centers, which will help borrowing technology from local producers.  The first centers will be in Osaka and Tokyo, they will focus on optical technologies, the development of displays and multi-touch interface. Foxconn has already invested in the Chinese components manufacturer   , and is now hoping to establish business relations with Japanese manufacturers. Foxconn has entered into a license agreement with NEC, they can use some of the development of Japanese giant in the production of liquid crystal displays.  The Chinese are aware that Japanese manufacturers have a strong potential in research and development.  The presence of research centers in Japan should contribute to strengthening ties in science and technology.
