A couple of months ago, Intel introduced its series drives DC P3600 and P3700 DC - actually the first mass SSDs not working in classic AHCI-mode, and the new NVM Express.  Three weeks ago, Samsung introduced a family XS1715 . Today developers supporting NVMe, supplemented by Marvell, which a few hours ago has published on its official website a press release on the new controller 88SS1093.   Moreover, in addition to the press release, on Marvell site immediately appeared  page devoted to this controller, whereas this is usually delayed :   Interface PCI-Express 3.0 x4 bandwidth up to 4 GB / s; NVMe support version 1.1; Architecture using CMOS 28 nm process technology; proprietary technology NAND-memory management and error correction Marvell NANDEdge LDPC; Support TLC / MLC / SLC NAND interfaces Toggle 2/ONFI 3 made by 15-19 nm process technology class of second-generation, as well as 3D NAND-memory; the possibility of constructing arrays of flash memory, totaling up to 2 TB.
