We have already reported that the Canadian company BlackBerry is preparing to release its first smartphone on Android platform , known as Venice.
According to Evan Blass , aka Evleaks, the first Android-BlackBerry smartphone with a sliding QWERTY-keyboard will be called the BlackBerry Priv. It will be endowed with a large touch screen, covered with glass forming effect 2.5D and 18-megapixel main camera.
BlackBerry, meanwhile, announced financial results for the second quarter of 2015. According to Reuters, excluding one-time items expenditure, the quarterly loss amounted to $ 66 million, or 13 cents per share. And net income for the reported quarter ended August 29, reached $ 51 million. However, the quarterly revenue fell by 46.5% to $ 490 million.
