Qualcomm is working on creating an improved version of the top processor Snapdragon 835, which will be called Snapdragon 836. It debuts in Google Pixel 2, as reported by our colleagues from GizmoChina . It was believed that the first smartphone based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 will be Samsung Galaxy Note 8, whose announcement is scheduled for August 23. But now it turned out that the first updated chip will receive Google Pixel second-generation smartphones. This, however, will not surprise us, considering that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor first appeared in Google Pixel and Pixel XL.  In addition to Google, the upgraded Qualcomm chip in their devices will be used by other manufacturers. We expect to see Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 in Xiaomi Mi Note 3, Mi Mix 2, OnePlus 5T or OnePlus 5s and other flagship smartphones released in the second half of 2017. The Qualcomn Snapdragon 836 chip will receive the same 8-core Kryo processor and Adreno 540 graphics accelerator as Snapdragon 835. And its main and only difference will be the increased clock speed, as was the case with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Snapdragon 821.
