The motherboard MSI X48 Platinum on base of chipset Intel X48 has four slots for video card and uses the specialized chip from IDT production , which ensures the support not only of two slots PCI Express x16 + PCI Express x16, but also leaves place for two slots, which work according to PCI Express x4 + PCI Express x4. MSI X48 Platinum with Ddr-3 support will not be the only product on base of chipset Intel X48 from MSI. This Company also intends to release the motherboard X48C Platinum, which use Intel X48 chipset and Ddr-2 support . The motherboard MSI X48C Platinum has simpler video card slots combination : two PCI Express x16, that work at full speed, and corresponding to  PCI Express 2.0 specifications, two slots PCI Express x1, and under them - three slots PCI. This motherboard support Ddr-2 and Ddr-3 . For Ddr-2 supporters it is necessary to be satisfied by only two slots DIMM. This motherboard support 1600 MHz bus and CrossFire technologies ,  memory can work in regime Ddr3-1600 with XMP expansions . The processor power system has four phases. Related Products :

	I like this board, it offers combo DDR2 and DDR3 slots in the correct ratio ie 2 DDR2 and 4 DDR3. this is by far the more logical set up than the other way around as in the future when you may want to upgrade to DDR3 its quite possible that larger quantities of ram will be the norm. At the moment 2 to 4 Gigs of DDR2 ram is quite sufficient.

	I just want to warn then that motherboard have a big (hudge) problem with CPU 1333 fbs (e8400 mine) the problem is the CPU and RAM work at 1/2 ... MSI suport say that they will fix but im still waiting, im just warning people because for that price you could buy other one better.
