FSP Company during the exhibition Conputex 2016, held last week, introduced a number of new power units.
First, let's talk about perhaps the most unusual updates - Twins series power units. These power supplies are an example of the so-called concept of power supply redundancy, which is often used in servers. FSP Twins represents two separate power supply with the same power, which are mounted in one common case ATX size, thereby may be used in conventional desktops.
In normal mode, both the power supply work together, sharing the load with each other. If one of them fails or is removed from the chassis, the remaining power supply assumes the full load themselves. Of course, supported by the "hot" extraction of power supplies. Currently available models with capacity of 500 and 700 watts, that is, each has a capacity of "small" power supply. New items have 80 Plus Gold certification.
Note that the FSP Twins has two EPS12V power cable, it can be used to power two processors. 500-watt version will sell for $ 400, while the price of 700-watt version not yet known.
In addition, FSP has introduced a more traditional line Dagger power supply. These new items are made in the form factor of SFX and currently in the range represented by two models, with a capacity of 500 and 600 watts. They also marked certified 80 Plus Gold. Power Supply FSP Dagger can boast the presence of converters DC-DC, using high-quality Japanese capacitors and a fully modular design.
