The third quarter ended with a long time to collect statistics on the individual market segments.  Experts Jon Peddie Research summed up the results of the third quarter in terms of power balance  in the market of graphics solutions.  Just emphasize that we are talking about CPUs with integrated graphics and discrete graphics cards for desktop and mobile use.   For example, if you take the graphics market in general, the seasonal increase in sales volumes beat a ten-year record.  The volume of shipments of graphics processors, compared with the previous quarter increased by 20.4%, while the averaged figure does not exceed 9.52% for ten years.  Particularly distinguished NVIDIA - it has released 39% more graphics processing than in the second quarter.  However, AMD also showed a positive trend (+ 15%), and Intel has not been deprived of the demand (+ 18%).  However, this did not prevent the latter from the company to reduce its share of the market of graphics solutions for NVIDIA onslaught from 72.6% to 70.9%.  AMD Company in this sense, was luckier - in the quarterly comparison, it has reduced its market share from 13.5% to 13%, and in the annual comparison, even increased its market share and a half percentage points.  From NVIDIA, for example, an increase in annual terms was less significant - only 0.4 percentage points. Factors contributing to the growth in popularity of products from NVIDIA, the company talked a lot at a recent quarterly reporting conference, but experts Jon Peddie Research note two of them: the release of new games and spectacular appearance on Pascal-generation graphics cards market. The share of new computers and  with the discrete graphics - in the third quarter reached 34.84%.  This is quite natural, since PC sales are going down the basic level, and demand for the game configuration increases.  Each PC has to GPU 1.46 on average.  However, PC demand compared to the second quarter grew by 8.09%, and only a comparison with the last year suggests a decline in PC sales volume to 5.37%. In the annual comparison the volume of GPU sales increased by 0.3%, up 3% in the notebook segment growth and desktop segment fell by 4%.  But in the transition from the second to the third quarter, sales volumes of discrete desktop graphics cards increased by 38.16%.  For the first three years  sales volumes of laptops surpassed sales volumes of plates.   A breakdown of statistics on the three major market players gives interesting results.  Thus, the popularity of hybrid AMD processors with integrated graphics in the desktop segment in the third quarter decreased by 10% compared with the previous quarter, but in the notebook segment's popularity has grown by 19.1%.  The most notable increase was given desktop video card (+ 34.7%), while mobile graphics solutions Discrete type were popular (+ 23%). NVIDIA in the third quarter progressed surprisingly unanimous: + 39.8% in the segment of desktop discrete graphics, + 38.7% in the mobile segment.  Quarter was a record year for NVIDIA, the company's stock price reached a historic high.
