In one of the interviews devoted to the debut of Ryzen processors, AMD representatives already admitted that the processors of previous generations will not disappear anywhere from the market and will be located in the relevant price segments. Discussing with the analysts the results of the second quarter , AMD head Lisa Su confirmed that the "legacy products" will remain on the market until the end of this year, at least.
Different regions are moving to new platforms with different speeds, and so the processors of previous generations successfully supplement the latest solutions, as the head of AMD explains. The motherboard park with Socket AM3 + (and older) is large enough, and the company is ready to support the old platforms. However, it is not specified how actively it will do it next year. As we found out today, the full range of Ryzen processors will be available by November, including mobile versions. Related Products :
