From the drop in demand for finished computers and laptops with mediocre characteristics, manufacturers are trying to save themselves in the niche of gaming systems, and the statistics published by DigiTimes website Asustek for the first quarter of this year only confirms this. The company received 62% of revenue in the reporting period from the sale of motherboards, notebooks and desktop systems. In total, Asustek managed to raise $ 3.23 billion, but net profit fell to a record low since 2011 - $ 121 million.
The volume of deliveries of gaming and ultrathin notebooks for the year increased by 50% in each case, and the volume of deliveries of the transformed mobile devices grew by only 5%. It was gaming laptops that provided Asustek with a quarter of all revenue from the implementation of notebooks in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the company expects a decrease in revenue from the sale of motherboards and laptops by 5-10% in a sequential comparison. Sales of smartphones and tablets will fall by 20-25%, but their implementation brings the company only 20% of revenue. Related Products :
