According to source, the engineering samples of  Core i7-7820X and Core i7-7800X processors had the same level of performance with the Core i9-7900X in the tests using the AVX512 extensions, but their serial versions kept active exactly half of the blocks responsible for the performance in this area.  Thus, the serial Skylake-X processors with six and eight cores are weaker than the 10-lead flagship in tasks using the AVX512.  I must say that there are not so many of them yet, but it is consideredthat they are concentrated in the professional application sphere  , and the same games do not affect the problem. The authors of the study believe that Intel will encourage professionals to purchase Skylake-EP server-class processors, where such a restriction will not exist.   Related Products :
