It is expected that the first chipset that offers native support for the USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface will be Intel Z390 coming out in the next half-year. VIA Labs company , is proud to announce that its VL820 controller was the first product of its kind to be USB-IF certified to meet the requirements of USB 3.1 Gen 2. Based on this controller, VIA Labs customers will be able to create hubs, Compatible with the USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface, which allows data transfer with a speed of 10 Gb / s.  A typical solution based on VIA Labs VL820 provides support for one outgoing port and four incoming ports. Based on this controller, you can also create hubs that support ports such as USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort interfaces.  VIA Labs VL820 is already supplied in serial volumes, the end products based on it will appear on the market in the fourth quarter of this year.
