High end NVIDIA chipsets for Intel platforms got some rich functionalities, they could support SLI technology officially, but they have some small problems like the complexities with single processors support , Memory compatibility or hard disk data loss ( in case of heavy overclock ). This last problem was manifested in some frequencies combinations ( system bus and memory ) using a motherboard based on nForce 790i SLI chipset .
Associate this week reported that NVIDIA company was able to minimize the given problem with systems overclock . Motherboard producers already placed on their sites the appropriate BIOS update . Major portion of problems appeared with overclock of the system bus to 400-450 MHz in the synchronous mode with memory. EVGA and Asus Motherboards with the new BIOS versions in such modes no longer corrupt hard disk data .
However, let us note that some users as before encounter problems even after BIOS update .
