Recently, we reported how NVIDIA plays with the video cards names , giving similar products different names. The announcement Of GeForce GTS 250 caused a large public resonance .
The release Of GeForce GTS 240 could cause similar reaction; therefore, NVIDIA takes some measures for smoothing people dissatisfaction. As reports associate, for the GeForce GTS 240 , Nvidia selected a more valid name : GeForce 9800 GT OC. This video card frequency will be as the GeForce 9800 GTX (675/1688/2200 MHz), and the number of stream processors (55 nm g92b chip) will be reduced from 128 to 112 pieces. Simultaneously from the GeForce 9800 GT OC will be released the video card GeForce 9800 GT green edition with the energy consumption level reduced to 75 W. | ||
