The mainboard on base of chipset intel x38 will support the technology crossFire according to PCI express x16 + PCI express x16. Associates noted that mainboard on base Of intel x38 will be able to support SLI technology using modified drivers. This is not a new trick - since individual mainboard producers proposed the modified drivers, witch allow to add SLI support for desktop Intel chipsets . Intel representatives gave the completely predictable phrase: The platform x38 is capable to work in SLI regime , but the question about SLI support is related to NVIDIA. Foxconn company for its motherboard X38A on base of chipset intel x38 will provide simultaneous support to crossFire and SLI.  This mainboard has three slots PCI express x16, two of which work at total speed, and they can accept a pair video card on base of chips AMD or NVIDIA. The system bus PCI express 2.0 with chipset intel x38 is also supported.  This mainboard has two slots DIMM for DDR 3-1333 memory and four slots for DDR 2-1066 memory .  The secret of SLI support consists in special drivers for video card NVIDIA, which Foxconn will supply with its motherboards.
