Japan Display Company announced the creation of a 10.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (Ultra HD) and density 438 pixels per inch pieces for use in tablet devices. Last year, Japan Display unveiled a 12.1-inch panel with the same resolution and a density of 365 pixels per inch.
In the production of a new screen technology is used low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS), thereby achieving a high energy efficiency products. Japan Display notes that its high-resolution screen consumes as much energy as LCD panel size of 10.1 inches diagonally with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels based on amorphous silicon.
