In the initiative SoFIA , Intel initially behaved not most typical way.  First, it realized that inexpensive processors for smartphones and tablets need integrated modems, allowing to work in cellular networks generations 3G and LTE.  Secondly, to produce the first generation of SoC will be TSMC company  - presumably using 28-nm process technology.  Intel only later translated part of orders for their own production facilities.  By the way, for SoFIA will remain dominant  x86-compatible architecture cores , so to speak of convergence with ARM ecosystem in this case is not necessary. Issued joint Intel and Rockchip Processors  will be at the TSMC facilities   , partners companies receive serial copies in the first half of 2015.  They will be sold under the brand name Atom, but Rockchip itself will decide who will deliver their share of issued  processors.   It is assumed that these chips will be the base for low-cost tablets running Google Android.
