Soon, on the market will be Chromebook based on chips MediaTek. At Computex 2015 in Taipei, the Taiwanese company unveiled a prototype Chromebook 64-bit processor MT8173.
According to Jeffrey Ju senior vice president , MediaTek plans to enter the market of business notebooks based on their processors . He also showed a non-functioning copy of the Chromebook 64-bit quad-core MT8173 and the port USB Type-C. He did not specify when the manufacturers will release Chromebook chips MediaTek, but another representative of the company said that they could be on the market in the second half of this year or early next.
Note that the chip MediaTek MT8173, which is composed of four core Cortex-A72, can handle a video resolution of 4K.
