Analyst Moor Insights & Strategy, Patrick Moorhead (Patrick Moorhead), reported an interesting news.  In his article on the Forbes website, he said he learned of the intention to discontinue the development of Intel's single-chip assemblies for smartphones with cellular modems, the 3rd and 4th generations (3Gx, LTE, LTE2).  Thus, Intel is finalizing a proprietary cellular platforms in the face of SoC SoFIA, as well as future decisions of Broxton and possibly all future - from the Apollo Lake and further, that there they have to plan.
