The year before, the Finnish company Nokia has sold its mapping business to alliance of three German car manufacturers (BMW, Daimler and Audi / Volkswagen), digital maps which are required not only for the navigation system, but also to develop automatic driving systems. In addition to a pair of Chinese companies and Singaporean investment fund, which got 10% of Nokia shares , as noted by Reuters, now join Intel Corporation, this week become the owner of 15% stake . The financial side of the transaction was not disclosed, but the formalities should be settled in the current quarter. According to the declared intentions, Intel is going to become a strategic investor, which is involved in the project, not only money, but also development. Intel have jointly developed technology to capture high-resolution terrain in real time.
