By promoting processors with new Zen's architecture to the market, AMD has to not only interact with software developers to optimize their products, but also to educate users. The next entry in the corporate blog of AMD is devoted to recommendations for setting system parameters that significantly affect the performance level . Using a "productive" power profile in Windows 10 is just one of the recommendations. AMD also recommends upgrading the BIOS of the
motherboard more often - fresh versions work better with the same Windows 10, increasing the CPU speed .  Particular attention is paid to the configuration of the memory system. As it turns out, AMD Ryzen processors do not use dividers that allow to use memory in DDR4-3000 and DDR4-3400 modes, so you have to choose the "nearest multiple" DDR4-3200 and DDR4-3500. While operation in modes above DDR4-2667 is not guaranteed, the basic safe level for systems based on Ryzen 7 is the DDR4-2133 mode. However, the memory manufacturers have already started certification of kits that work with Ryzen 7 processors in DDR4-3200 mode. By May, as AMD promises, many motherboards will learn to work with DDR4-3200 when using a wide range of memory modules. In their laboratories AMD managed to make memory on Samsung chips work in DDR4-3500 mode. Related Products : | ||
