Samsung electronics company presented hard disk ecoGreen F3EG. Highly productive model oriented for application in desktop systems. From its predecessor, F2EG, the new HDD differs with the large volume. It is equal to 2 TB(500 GB per plate). F3EG used the technology samsung ecoTriangle. Under this name is united the application of ecologically friendly components, small energy consumption and low noise level. For noise reduction are used silentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies , familiar on other models. Energy consumption of F3EG is lower by 40% in the idle regime and up to 10% lower in the read/write regimes in comparison with similar HDD from other producers, as asserts Samsung. The HDD standard size 3,5 inches are equipped with SATA 3 Gbit/s interface, 16 or 32 MB cache (depending version ). Deliveries of F3EG with 1,5 and 2 TB volume already began.
