Intel Haswell-E, which officially debuts in two weeks, will require new motherboards with socket LGA 2011-3. As explained by the Austrian company Noctua, cooler retention mechanism on the motherboard will be the same as in the case of the classical LGA 2011. Specifically Product Noctua, all equipped fixtures SecuFirm2 coolers can be operated without any further adaptation. In particular, this applies to models of coolers NH-D15, NH-D14 SE2011, NH-U14S, NH-U12S.
Fastening system SecuFirm2, already offers a set of bindings NM-I2011, providing compatibility with socket LGA 2011-3.
