Most thin (5 mm) hard disks 2.5 inch were presented this spring. The volume of these drives is 500 GB. Now Seagate has unveiled the thinnest HDD of the same size, but 2TB. The thickness of the drive is 9.5 mm. The device is named Spinpoint M9T and released by Samsung HDD subdivision, which is owned by Seagate.
Drives equipped with interface SATA 6 Gb / s, 32 MB buffer memory, characterized by a spindle speed of 5400 r / min, and kept proprietary technologies NoiseGuard and SilentSeek.
The new drives are available in a line of external hard drives Samsung M3 Portable and P3 Portable.
