South Korean producer announced the new HDD spinpoint M7 with 640 GB volume, standard size 2,5 inches. This model became the leader in M7 series . It has two plates, in each was placed 320 GB ( writing density 516Gbit, 28% higher than in the model with 500 GB volume). The basic application field of samsung pinpoint M7 are mobile applications upper segment or simply , expensive laptop computers. This HDD maintains overloads to 400G (during 2 ms) in operating conditions and to 900G (1 ms) . Single-crystal controller decreases the energy consumption with search operations and in the regime idle time to the minimum level in comparison with comparable models . This HDD use the technologies silentSeek and NoiseGuard, which allow to decrease the noise level . The rotation speed is equal to 5400 rp/min this HDD supports NCQ (Native command queuing), it is equipped with SATA 3 Gbit/s interface and 8 mb cache. The deliveries in USA and Europe will begin in the middle of September, and in other regions - at the end of this month. The price Of spinpoint M7 with 640 GB volume is equal to $150. | ||
